All responses must be submitted by July 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST via email to Contracting Officer Joseph Locke, and interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with the sole source procurement or provide for competition based on submitted responses.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designation and Henry Schein of Melville, New York is identified as the intended sole source contractor, with the justification that they do not utilize subcontractors or resellers, creating no competitive group. The solicitation calls for a total of three pieces of equipment: two handheld X-ray systems weighing 6.0 pounds each with specific technical requirements including 60 kV voltage and 2.5mA current, and one CBCT unit with advanced imaging capabilities including 200/360-degree rotation and multiple volume size options ranging from 4x5 cm to 20x10 cm. While no specific contract value is disclosed, the procurement involves high-end medical imaging equipment with an estimated award date of August 6, 2025. The equipment will be delivered to and used at the VA Columbia Healthcare System facility located at 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29209.
