About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 intends to procure a premium point-of-care ultrasound system for emergency room use at Southern Arizona Healthcare System in Tucson, Arizona, with a Notice of Intent to Sole Source to GE Healthcare and a response deadline of June 26, 2026.
The agency issued a dual-track engagement: an initial RFI and Sources Sought Notice (36C262-26-AP-4120) with an April 29, 2026 deadline, followed by a Notice of Intent to Sole Source GE Healthcare (solicitation 36C26226Q0621) with the June 26 deadline. The sole-source justification is based on GE Healthcare's Venue Go R6 Premier system meeting the emergency department's specialized diagnostic requirements. However, the Government retains discretion to conduct competitive procurement if capability statements from other sources, particularly Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, demonstrate clear and compelling evidence that competition would benefit the Government.
Place of performance is Southern Arizona VA HealthCare System warehouse at 3601 South 6th Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85723.
The system must deliver diagnostic ultrasound across all body areas with advanced cardiac configuration, 15.6-inch high-resolution LED monitor (minimum 1680x1050 resolution), HDMI and USB ports, ECG connectivity, four transducers covering specified frequency ranges, extend module for three total probe ports, and AI cardiac guidance with ejection fraction and Lung Sweep capabilities. A mobile cart with height adjustment (32–42 inches), anti-theft features, and four locking casters is required. Vendor must deliver within 90 days of order, complete installation within 60 days of delivery, provide clinical staff training, and report FDA recalls within 48 hours. Five-year warranty and 120-minute minimum battery life are mandatory.
The Network Contracting Office is located in Long Beach, California. Contract Specialist Rebecca Gaba handles inquiries at Rebecca.Gaba@va.gov. NAICS 339112; PSC 6515. No set-aside is indicated.
