About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has published a Special Notice for the sole source procurement of Philips ultrasound transducers. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate a contract with Philips North America LLC and two authorized Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) distributors, Four Points Technology, LLC and Alliant Enterprises, LLC.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to acquire two additional Philips FUS9170 3D9-3v transducers to support an increase in pelvic ultrasound exams at the Chalmers P. Wylie Ambulatory Care Center. These transducers are specific to the Philips EPIQ Elite ultrasound system currently in use, and no other products would be compatible. The VA has determined that Philips and the two SDVOSB distributors are the only sources that can satisfy the agency's requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by August 13, 2024, which the VA will consider in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
