About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 12, through its Great Lakes Acquisition Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has issued a Special Notice of Intent for Sole Source Award. The notice indicates the VA's intention to award a sole source contract to scDataCom LLC, located in Savannah, Georgia, for an Avigilon Camera/Video Management System upgrade and license renewals for police services. The procurement is for the Illiana VA Health Care System in Danville, Illinois, and is being justified under 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 based on scDataCom's status as the only responsible source. The applicable NAICS code is 334290 with a size standard of 750 employees, and the PSC category is 6350 for miscellaneous alarm, signal, and security detection systems.
The primary objective of this procurement is to upgrade the security camera and video management system infrastructure while maintaining continuity with the existing system currently maintained by scDataCom. The justification for sole source procurement rests on the requirement for seamless integration with the current system and the cost implications of engaging a different vendor, which would necessitate additional expenditures for maintenance work during installation. Interested parties may submit written notice of capability and interest by March 4, 2026, at 5:00 PM Central Time to Contracting Officer Erica Grimslid at Erica.Grimslid@va.gov. Responses must include supporting evidence demonstrating the ability to meet the requirement and must be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. This notice explicitly states it is not a request for quotations or competitive proposals, and the Government reserves the right not to compete the procurement based on responses received.
