About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs' Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is issuing a Special Notice of intent to sole source a contract to Biosense Webster for Accelerated Solutions Agreement (ASA) maintenance of Carto3, TruPulse, and nGEN equipment and software, with written responses due by 11:59 PM Central Time on Monday, November 16, 2026. No set-aside is used. The agency states that Biosense Webster is the only vendor authorized to maintain these machines and that only one responsible source will satisfy requirements, so the notice is not a request for competitive quotes. It covers sustainment of an existing service at the Hines VA Base 2 EP Cath Lab, sought as a firm fixed price contract with a one-year base period and two one-year options under 41 U.S.C. 1901 simplified acquisition procedures. The notice cites NAICS 811210, a $34.0 million business size standard, and PSC J065.

Any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may submit written notification to Contracting Officer Matthew Hohl at Matthew.Hohl@va.gov. Responses must include supporting evidence of ability to comply, including a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer stating the vendor is an authorized service vendor per VAAR Clause 852.212-71(c). No solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be accepted. The Government retains sole discretion over whether to compete the procurement based on responses received.
