About this opportunity
The 60th Maintenance Squadron at Travis Air Force Base is seeking a Firm Fixed Price contract for weekly industrial laundry services covering the laundering of seven government-owned tri-layer coveralls and fifty shop towels that may be contaminated with hazardous chemicals such as jet fuel. The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command issued this solicitation, which requires weekly pickup and delivery every Tuesday from two designated locations on base, with all items to be laundered and returned within one week in compliance with 29 CFR 1910.132 safety regulations. Interested contractors must submit a Technical Capability Statement, Contractor Responsibility Verification form, and past performance references, demonstrating satisfactory or above ratings within the last three years or providing a capability statement if new to government contracting. The government will evaluate proposals based on three primary criteria: price fairness and reasonableness, past performance (requiring satisfactory or above ratings), and technical capability to meet the Performance Work Statement requirements. The deadline for submitting questions is April 9, 2026 at 4:30 PM PST, the solicitation closes on April 21, 2026 at 12:00 PM PST, and the anticipated award date is April 15, 2026; quotes must remain valid for 30 days following submission.
This is a total Small Business Set-Aside designated under FAR Part 19, and there is currently no incumbent contractor performing this work, meaning all qualified offerors will be considered on equal footing. The contract structure includes a one-year base period running from April 29, 2026 through April 28, 2027, with four optional one-year renewal periods and one six-month extension option, potentially extending the contract through October 2031. While specific budget or award values are not disclosed in the solicitation documents, the weekly service volumes are limited to 7 coveralls and 50 towels, providing predictable and modest demand. The place of performance is Travis Air Force Base located at 690 Airmen Dr, Travis AFB, CA 94535, with pickup and delivery occurring at two specific base locations: Building 819 (Accessories Flight) and Building 810 (Maintenance Flight Consolidated Tool Kit section) on Tuesdays between 0800-1400 PST. All contractors must comply with Travis AFB security requirements, including identity proofing, vetting procedures, and base access authorization through submission of an Entry Authority List no later than 45 days before contract performance begins.
