Technical questions were due by January 15, 2025, and proposals are due by January 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. Contractors must demonstrate past performance with two similar projects completed within the past five years.
The contract is set aside as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) opportunity under NAICS code 238210 for electrical contractors. The project has an estimated value between $100,000-$200,000, with a performance period of 210 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The site is located at the Edward P. Boland VA Medical Center in Central Western Massachusetts, specifically targeting Building 1 (Liberty Building). Work hours are primarily Monday-Friday from 7:00-16:30, with potential for off-hours work between 17:00-06:00 and on weekends with VA approval. Contractors must obtain UL Master Label certification, coordinate with VA staff, maintain strict infection control measures, and comply with VHA, OSHA, and EPA standards. A site visit was conducted on January 8, 2025, with nine potential contractors attending, including representatives from companies like Pereira Electric, Associated Lightning Rod Co., and Collins Electric.
