About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Space Command is soliciting quotes for a front desk clerk position at the 50th Force Support Squadron Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) at Schriever Space Force Base. The contractor will provide a single front desk clerk responsible for greeting walk-in and telephone customers, providing information about M&FRC programs and resources, scheduling classes, directing clients to appropriate program managers, and overseeing the Resource Center operations including computer access, telephones, fax machines, and library materials. The clerk must meet base security requirements, demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, and learn M&FRC-specific software within two months while maintaining professional customer service standards with no more than two validated complaints per month. Evaluation will follow a lowest price technically acceptable approach, with technical approach and past performance factors being slightly more important than price. Quotes are due by Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM MDT, with the total proposal limited to 15 pages including technical narrative, pricing spreadsheet, and past performance information.

This opportunity is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses under NAICS code 561320 (Temporary Help Services) and represents a re-acquisition of current contract FA255020P0043. The incumbent contractor has held the position for eight months, and the government considers continuity risk to be low with no substitute staffing required during absences. The firm-fixed-price contract structure includes a base period of six months from September 14, 2025, through March 14, 2026, followed by four twelve-month option years extending through March 14, 2031, for a total potential contract duration of 5.5 years. Performance will occur at the M&FRC facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with standard business hours of 0800-1600, Monday through Friday, and the government will provide all necessary equipment, VPN access, and training including the AFFIRST data system. The current pricing spreadsheet shows contract values at $0, indicating vendors must submit their proposed pricing as part of the quotation process.
