About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa is procuring six Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS) Trailers (Part #9D01164-908) and six MAAS Trailer Tool Kits (System #15196-101), including shipping and freight, for the 435th Construction and Training Squadron. The procurement requires contractors to have previously provided similar equipment to the US Government and must submit relevant contract numbers demonstrating past performance capability. Only new equipment with manufacturer's warranties will be accepted, and contractors must provide a certificate of approval from the Service Engineering Support Activity at Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex in accordance with AFI 20-106. The government will evaluate quotes based on total price, delivery capabilities, and specification requirements, reserving the right to award on an "all or none" basis. The response deadline is September 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, with quotes required to remain valid until September 30, 2025.

No small business set-aside has been designated for this procurement due to the overseas location requirement. The solicitation has undergone multiple amendments, including quantity increases from the original four units to six units each of both the MAAS trailers and tool kits, as well as deadline extensions and part number corrections from the original 9D01164-907 to the current 9D01164-908. Performance will take place at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, with deliveries restricted to normal work hours (0800-1500), Monday through Friday, excluding German and American holidays. The equipment is designed to support EUCOM's Operational Plans and NATO/USAF launch and recovery operations for tail hook-equipped aircraft. The procurement falls under NAICS code 333924 for Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing, with contractors required to coordinate all deliveries with designated points of contact.
