About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior National Park Service Intermountain Region seeks 3,669 tons of 3/4" minus crushed gravel for Glacier National Park, with quotations due July 24, 2026. The procurement is a 100% total small business set-aside with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
Delivery is to Babb, Montana between August 1 and September 1, 2026, on an FOB Destination basis. Delivery is restricted to Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time, excluding government holidays. The material must include a minimum of 70% fractured stone and must be approved as weed-free by the park's Natural Resource Management division prior to delivery. The gravel specification is road mix rather than crushed clean gravel. All quoted prices must include delivery costs. No gradation sheet is required.
Contractors must source material from pre-approved pit locations identified in Attachment 7 (updated June 23, 2026). Vendors not listed on the approved sources may request inspection of their proposed gravel source by contacting Dawn LaFleur at 406-888-7864.
All quotations must include a completed SF-18 form, a two-page project narrative, three prior project examples with points of contact documenting similar projects within the past three years, a completed price schedule, and a contractor core data form. Quotes must remain valid for a minimum of 180 days. All offerors must be registered in SAM at time of quotation submission and award. Evaluation uses comparative assessment based on price, technical capability to meet specifications, and prior experience. The contract incorporates FAR Part 12 clauses, Service Contract Labor Standards requirements, and mandates liability insurance of $100,000 per person, $500,000 per occurrence, and $100,000 property damage. Payment is submitted electronically through the Department of Treasury's Invoice Processing Platform. Quotations are due to Sharon LaRosa at Sharon_larosa@ios.doi.gov. Amendment 0002 (July 23, 2026) extended the response deadline and answered vendor questions; offerors must acknowledge receipt of all amendments.
