About this opportunity
The 316th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, is soliciting quotes for the rental, delivery, and removal of temporary crowd control barricades for the 2025 Joint Base Andrews Air Show. The requirement involves approximately 31,300 linear feet of free-standing event barriers, specifically panels measuring 4 feet tall by 7 feet wide, constructed of lightweight galvanized steel or equivalent material that requires no drilling for installation. The solicitation (FA286025Q4056) is structured as a Request for Quotation with evaluation based on price and technical acceptability criteria. The contractor must deliver all barricades no later than September 12, 2025, and remove them by September 16, 2025, with the 316th Civil Engineer Squadron handling the actual installation. Quotes are due by September 2, 2025, at 12:30 PM EST and must be submitted via email to the designated Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer, remaining valid for 90 days after submission.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is conducted as a full and open competition under NAICS code 423390 (Other Construction Material Merchant Wholesalers). The solicitation documents do not identify any incumbent contractors or specify award values or budget ranges for this rental requirement. The performance period spans September 10-16, 2025, coinciding with the air show event, with barriers to be positioned on the east and west side flight line ramps at Joint Base Andrews. The contractor must provide approximately 4,471 individual barrier panels (based on the 7-foot width specification) and comply with base security procedures, including pre-vetting of all drivers through Security Forces. All work will be performed at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, with the government providing necessary utilities and facilities while the contractor handles only the rental, delivery, and removal services.
