Update #2 ·

8. JUNE 17, 2019, UPDATE:  In prior years' solicitations, GSA included a one-week window after release of the RFP for submission of alternative models other than those already listed in the Federal Vehicle Standards.  THERE WILL BE NO SUCH WINDOW FOR ALTERNATIVE MODEL SUBMISSION IN THE UPCOMING SOLICITATION.  In addition, GSA previously restricted proposals to one representative model per SIN for each offeror.  Due to changing market conditions, GSA will no longer restrict each offeror to one model per SIN category.  Due to the fact that 1) there will not be a one-week window for alternative model submission included in the forthcoming solicitation, and 2) GSA will no longer restrict each offeror to one model per SIN, GSA is extending the date for submission of models to be included in the forthcoming solicitation.  ANY ADDITIONAL MODELS THAT INTERESTED PARTIES WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT FOR CONSIDERATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 4:00pm EDT ON MONDAY, JUNE 17, 2019.  Interested parties must submit these models directly to John Hampson, Engineering Branch Chief, at john.hampson@gsa.gov.  If approved for inclusion, interested parties will have until 12:00pm noon EDT on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, to load specification data to AutoStandards.

In order for items to be included in the AutoBid portion of the forthcoming solicitation, GSA must create the models to allow interested parties to enter specification data into AutoStandards.  GSA began this process in February 2019 :(https://www.fbo.gov/notices/4e6da6f83679ea059a24b7a736a0f52e).  After release of the RFP, there will not be enough time for GSA to create models and no opportunity for vendors to submit technical data for entry.  Again, any additional models that interested parties would like to submit for consideration must be submitted by 4:00pm EDT on Monday, June 17, 2019.  After that time, no additional models will be considered.
