About this opportunity

The 146th Airlift Wing Channel Islands, California, administered by the Department of the Army National Guard, has issued a Request for Quote for comprehensive painting and corrosion repair services for six Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicles and material handling equipment. The contractor must provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to perform complete corrosion repair and 100% repainting of various vehicles including a Freightliner M2112 tractor, Ford F350, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Express, Hyster 155XL forklift, and another Chevrolet truck. All work must be completed to manufacturer specifications with vehicles remaining fully functional and maintaining their original colors, as the existing corrosion creates safety hazards including Foreign Object Damage risks in flight line areas. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for August 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM PDT at the Channel Islands Air National Guard Station, with questions due by close of business on August 11, 2025. Quote submissions are due by August 14, 2025, and the contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis.

This procurement is 100% set-aside for small businesses under NAICS code 811121 (Auto Body, Paint, and Interior Repair and Maintenance) with a size standard of $9 million. While no current contractors or incumbents are identified, potential contractors must demonstrate corporate experience and past performance through capability statements as part of their submissions. The government has noted that funds are not presently available but anticipates funding will become available prior to award, as this project has been identified on the National Guard Priority List. The period of performance is 120 days from contract award, with work to be performed on the six specified vehicles and equipment at the military facility. The place of performance is Port Hueneme, California, with the government coordinating vehicle drop-off and pick-up logistics.
