About this file
This document is an Amendment (0001) to a Request for Quote (RFQ) W50S7525QA027 for Vehicle Repainting and Corrosion Control services for the 146 Logistics Readiness Squadron. The solicitation requires a contractor to repair corrosion, fix dents, and repaint six vehicles and pieces of equipment at the Channel Islands Air National Guard Station. The project must be completed within 120 days of contract award, with the government coordinating vehicle drop-off and pick-up. Performance objectives include repairing corrosion and dents to manufacturer specifications, ensuring each vehicle is fully functional, and maintaining the original vehicle colors.
Key details include a pre-quote site visit scheduled for 06 August 2025 at 1:00 PM PDT, with interested firms required to email specific attendee information. Questions must be submitted by 11 August 2025, with responses published on SAM.gov. The government notes that funds are not currently available but anticipates funding through the National Guard Priority List. The solicitation emphasizes the critical nature of the work, highlighting that existing vehicle corrosion creates safety hazards, including potential Foreign Object Damage (FOD) risks in flight line areas.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION: The subject Government vehicles and equipment contain severe corrosion and peeling and fading paint. The corrosion problem causes safety hazards due to small parts of rusted metal chipping off of the items. The rusted metal chips become a Foreign Object Damage (FOD) hazard in the flight line area, thus potentially damaging aircraft engines. Paint fading and peeling problems can also lead to severe corrosion if left untreated. Performing this work will prevent future corrosion issues and FOD hazards.
