About this file
This document appears to be the Government Paper Specification Standards providing technical requirements for uncoated text paper to be used for offset printing of various printed materials. The key details include:
The paper must be 40-pound stock, with groundwood pulp not exceeding 1%, and may not be suitable for heavy ink coverage. It should have a pH value averaging at least 6.5, meet minimum bursting strength and opacity levels, and have uniform thickness, finish, and color. The paper must also meet cleanliness standards for specks and defects.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation from the Government Publishing Office (GPO) seeking information on vendors capable of manufacturing and delivering Specialty Paper, Envelopes, and Corrugated Containers in large volumes to support GPO's printing requirements.
