About this file
This is a Contractor Warranty letter issued by the Clay County Board of County Commissioners in Florida for disaster debris removal services. The warranty document establishes the contractor's commitment to deliver labor and materials in accordance with contract specifications and authorized modifications. The contractor warrants that all work will be free from defects due to defective materials or workmanship for a period of two years from the date of completion and acceptance by the County. The contractor agrees to remedy any defects that develop during the two-year warranty period at its sole expense and commits to responding to all warranty calls from the County within twenty-four hours of notification. The warranty explicitly excludes defects resulting from owner abuse or neglect, acts of God, and normal wear and tear, and does not preclude or replace any additional warranties required by the contract documents.
The warranty letter does not address pricing terms, set-asides, or funding sources, as it serves solely as a warranty instrument requiring contractor certification. The document requires the contractor to provide their name, address, project identification, contract number, and licensing information, along with signature and date attestation. This standard warranty provision is typical for public works contracts and establishes clear performance accountability and remediation obligations for the contractor throughout the specified warranty period.
