About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFI W91ZLK-25-Q-EMI2 regarding an HVAC replacement project at Building 456's EMI Chamber B. The document contains 11 contractor questions and government responses addressing technical specifications and project requirements.

Key details from the Q&A include: the HVAC unit must provide between 4,000-8,000 CFM of conditioned air, though original submittal and as-built drawings are not available. Programming must be performed on-site with no VPN access allowed. The conditioned space temperature requirement is 70 degrees at 50% humidity, and contractors should assume a nominal 40-ton unit is appropriate. The government will not accept alternative duct protection methods to FlexClad or phenolic duct systems in lieu of sheet metal ductwork. The government denied requests for additional site visits with controls subcontractors and bid date extensions.
