SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following have been added by full text:
AMENDMENT U0003
1. Question: The spread footing at Column Line 3 which runs from M to K-lines on SB101 is noted as Type Q. Graphically, in plan this footing scales to only 28'x6' which is significantly less than the 30'- 2"x8" of a Type Q. Please verify this is a Type Q footing?
Response 1: The spread footing at Column Line 3 from M to K-lines is a Type Q footing with the dimensions of 30 feet-2 inches by 8 feet.
2. At K-Line between 3.6 and 9 Line, what wall section are we to referring to? What are the footing elevations at this location?
Response 2: Wall section is similar to Detail 6/SB501 with top of wall =101.33 feet, except refer to
Detail 1/SB501 for reinforcing and dimensions. Bottom of footing = 97.00 feet.
3. Concrete Pad note f. on C503 refers to Motorcycle Parking Pad. Cannot find on the drawings, could the location and size be provided?
Response 3: The motorcycle parking pads have been eliminated from the project. Delete Concrete Pad Note 1f on Sheet C503, Site Details.
4. 3/CL101 has a stoop detail which differs from 6/SB502. Please clarify which should govern?
Response 4: Detail 3, Sheet CL101 applies only to the stoop with Keynote #13 on Sheet CS101 as this stoop will be removed as part of a future building addition.
5. Specification Section 111916 specifies two types of detention gun lockers. Please define how many are required and where they will be installed. Drawing AE108, Room A116 indicates a Note #8 that indicates two Munition Cabinets. Are we to assume that one of each type of gun locker is required?
Response 5: Provide two (2) gun lockers in Room A116. Delete tilt-out pistol lockers and change type of remaining gun locker. See changes to Specification Section 111916 listed further below.
6. SS 113100, Part 2.3 - Icemakers; please clarify where this appliance is required.
Response 6: Provide one (1) icemaker in the Water Jugs Room (Room 122). See attached Sketch AD-A2 for revised location. Provide freestanding icemaker in lieu of under-counter icemaker specified. See changes to Specification Section 113100 listed further below. Newly specified icemaker will require an increase in ventilation in the room. See attached sketch AD-M5.
7. Specification Section 124130 specifies recessed mounted frames are required for the roll-up mats.
No slab recesses have been indicated on the structural or architectural plans. Please confirm that recessed frames are required and that the mats that are scheduled in Rooms 105, 110, 114, are to extend from wall to wall. Are we to assume Vestibule 101 is a similar layout to Vestibule 103 as shown on 3/AE403?
Response 7: Provide surface mounted frames. See changes to Specification Section 124130 listed further below. Mats are to extend from wall to wall. Yes, Vestibule 101 is a similar layout to Vestibule 103; see 1/AE102.
1. Specification Section 092900 Gypsum Board, Part 2.4, Item C specifies acoustically enhanced gypsum board and Part 3.3, A.9 indicates include this product as indicated on the drawings. Drawing
AE001 indicates the wall types for the project and does not specifically mention that "acoustically enhanced" drywall is required. Please clarify which wall types are required to get this product. Is it required at all the acoustic rated walls (ND, NE, NG, 1F, 1H, 3A, 3C)?
Response 1: Acoustically enhanced drywall is not required. Resilient channel construction achieves intended STC rating; delete paragraphs 092900 2.4, C and 3.3, A, 9 in their entirety.
2. Acoustic rated wall types ND, NE, NG, 1F, 1H, 3A and 3C are shown to get "resilient sound isolation clips" per Wall Type detail on AE001. Please specify a manufacturer and model # for these isolation clips.
Response 2: Kinetics “IsoMax” or an approved equivalent from another manufacturer.
1. Refer to drawing P103, at Corridor 104, the gas piping size as it continues to Mech Room 125 is shown as 1-1/4 inch. Yet on detail 1/P403, the piping is shown as 2 inches. Please identify the correct pipe size to the Mechanical Room.
Response 1: The correct size is 1-1/4 inch.
2. The Fire Alarm drawings FA101 through FA104, FA501, and E001 show symbols Klaxon devices. I can not find product numbers or specifications for Klaxon devices. Drawing FA501 Drawing notes asks that the Klaxon devices be connected to the Fire Alarm Panel and the appropriate circuits be provided. Who is supplying the information on the Klaxon devices and who is responsible for providing the Klaxon devices?
Response 2: Klaxon devices are specified in section 283176, 2.17, D. They shall be provided by the same Contractor who provides the fire alarm system. Refer to specification 283176, 3.1, C.
