RFI ANSWERS #01
1) Specification Section, Part I, Statement of Work, Section IV, COMMENCEMENT, PROSECUTION, AND COMPLETION OF WORK, Item (c) states completion time in 356 Calendar Days. Form
1442, block 10 states 485 days. Please confirm completion time is 485 calendar days.
Answer:
52.211-10 COMMENCEMENT, PROSECUTION, AND COMPLETION OF WORK (APR 1984)
The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the
Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 485 calendar days after notice to proceed, to include inspection and punch listed items. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises.
**Note**
Period of Performance is 485 days total. This is a change and overrides the Period of Performance stated in the
Specification Part I, Statement of Work (IV)(A) which states ¯complete the entire work ready for use not later than
365 calendar days‖. This will now read: 485 calendar days. There will be two phases to this project. There will be two Notices to Proceed (NTP) letters issued; the first NTP will include demolition of the building and all critical submittals to be submitted and approved and the second NTP will include the construction phase of the project.
***Construction of the new building will not be approved to start until the work listed in the first NTP is complete.
2) Letters of Performance Evaluation, Exhibit C1, states “arrive NOT LATER THAN MARCH 23, 2011”. However, Page 16 of 62 of Solicitation, Section 3.4.3.10 states” no later than closing date”. Please confirm performance letters should be due same as bid date.
Answer:
Change Letters of Performance Evaluation, Exhibit C1 from: “arrive NOT LATER THAN MARCH 23, 2011” to: “no later than closing date”. A new C1 with the above information will be uploaded to Federal
Business Opportunities on March 18, 2011
