About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document addressing inquiries regarding a federal hotel lodging contract solicitation.

The contract requires hotel accommodations for personnel at a single facility located within a 15-mile radius of Fort Meade. All occupants must be housed at the same hotel, with no anticipated changes to check-in or check-out dates across the Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). The government will not provide a rooming list prior to arrival; it will be supplied to the awarded vendor upon contract award. Third-party companies providing hotel lodging services are eligible to bid, and the government is not restricted to working directly with hotels. The minimum hotel class required is no less than 3 stars, and motels with exterior doors are acceptable. There is no incumbent contractor for this requirement.

Billing will be consolidated to a master account with no individual responsibility for room charges; no taxes are to be included as this is a Federal Acquisition, and the government can provide a letter in lieu of a Tax Exemption Certificate if needed. No commissionable rate is permitted or required under the contract. While there is no set submission deadline, contract award is anticipated within 2 weeks of solicitation closure. Specific billing information and procedures will be detailed in the final solicitation and award documents.
