RFI

The following are the answers to the RFI posed by the prospective quoters:

QUESTION 1.

This is to kindly request an extension of the proposal due date of at least 1 (one) week.

Due to Italian holiday closure of the month of August, we are experiencing delays in receiving feedback from our subcontractors in terms of agreements, Past Performance PPQ submission and receipt.

ANSWER 1.

Block 8, Offer Due Date / Local Time is changed from 12.00 AM 13 September 2021 to 12.00 AM 16 September

2021.

QUESTION 2.

On the price unit voices are requested the inspection, testing, replacement and inventory only for backflow preventer concerning on Del Din site and Caserma Ederle. The other following sites are not mentioned: Villaggio della Pace, Longare, ASP # 7, Lerino and Torri di Quartesolo. How should the relative costs be distributed?

ANSWER 2.

Please see the revised extended description of CLIN 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001, 4001 which include Caserma Ederle, Villaggio della Pace, Longare, ASP # 7, Lerino and Torri di Quartesolo.

QUESTION 3.

Does the unit price to be indicated in ITEM 0001-1001-2001-3001-4001 - 0002-1002-2002-3002-4002 mean for a single backflow preventer or for the group of backflow preventer listed in Appendix C? In the last case, it’s necessary estimate the quantity of unlisted backflow preventer?

ANSWER 3.

They are for the group of backflow preventers listed in Appendix C; the total number is related to the existing inventory.

QUESTION 4.

Appendix C is missing the inventory of ASP # 7, Lerino and Torri di Quartesolo

ANSWER 4.

There are 3 backflow preventers listed at the very last page about ASP#7.

QUESTION 5.

In Appendix C, "recommended device" and "remarks" column, some changes are indicated.

Are the cost of these changes covered by ITEM 0008 –1008 –2008 – 3008– 4008?

ANSWER 5.

Please, ignore column “recommended device” which is not pertinent; column remarks is meant to provide notes on what you may find/notice during the inspection (for example if you see there is a make-up water system not provided with backflow preventer, or if any backflow preventer has no drain pipe…). In case these activities occur, they will be covered under the above mentioned ITEMs for Over and Above Work, not contemplated in the Price

List for Repair Work. The Government will provide the amount to be used at the time of award. Quoters are not required to price these ITEMs.
