About this file

This document provides an amendment to a federal solicitation for flood control services along the Comite River in Louisiana. The solicitation is seeking excavation and construction services for a segment of the Comite River Diversion Channel.

The scope of work includes excavation of the channel segment, stockpiling excavated materials, placing bedding material and channel riprap, clearing and grubbing, utility relocation, constructing an access road and drainage features, installing culverts, performing dewatering and unwatering activities, and providing traffic control and coordination. The estimated period of performance is 578 calendar days from notice to proceed.

The amendment modifies the solicitation by providing responses to bidder questions, deleting a subparagraph regarding the bid opening date and time, and specifying that bids must now be received by August 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM local time. The contracting agency is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses.
