The following have been added by full text:

QUESTION AND ANSWER 9-15

9. Question: Does ATFP apply to just the slider doors, the windows A, B, and C -or- the slider doors as well as windows A, B and C? Maybe they could clarify the exact spec needing to be met, instead of "greater than". The spec is ambiguous to say the least: they say low level of protection but use a High load test...see my engineers comments below... Nothing that is aluminum will meet that specification. Weight I at 20’ will create extremely high loads. Kawneer’s tests are based on Weight I at 148’ or Weight II at 82’

9. Answer: ATFP will apply to both sets of automatic sliding doors and window types A, B & C and hollow metal doors and frames. Design is to be governed by UFC 4-010-01 2013 latest edition. The level of protection for this project is “very low”. Design by dynamic analysis for explosive weights I and II with a 30 foot standoff.

10. Question: Specs call for mineral fiber insulation (sab) in interior walls, plans call for R19 fiberglass. Please clarify. Note-R19 is 5 ½” thick and will not fit in 3 5/8” walls as noted on plans.

10. Answer: Substitute R-13 (sab) for R-19in the interior walls.

11. Question: Walls that are called on plans as going to deck, can we take to bottom of metal trusses?

11. Answer: No. The walls provide either thermal or sound isolation and therefore must be continuous to deck.

12. Question: Can we substitute USG ceiling grid and tile with Armstrong equals?

12. Answer: Please see Specification Section 01600 paragraph 1.5. A.2 and

13. Question: Wall type W1 on floor plan calls for 1 ½” hat channel (see details 1-3@A3.2) and R10 rigid, but specs call for rigid to be 2” thick. Please clarify. Also, can we use z-furring in lieu of hat channel?

13. Answer: R-10 is the correct reference. Disregard the thickness in inches. Reference response to question #12.

14. Question: The specs note all the plywood/wood veneers are to be FSC certified. Since this is not a LEED project per Addendum 1, will the FSC certified wood still be required?

14. Answer: No.

15. Question: 07410 Metal Wall Panels, what profile should we use for the wall panels at the fascia? I see one specified for the soffit panels, but not the wall panels.

15. Answer: Can also use the soffit panels (Profile Series IW-10A) for the fascia wall panels. Contrator will need to install the panels vertically
