About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document addressing contractor inquiries regarding a federal renovation or construction project at Fort Belvoir.
The document clarifies key project requirements and responsibilities. The contractor must submit a lighting plan utilizing 2x2 LED dimmable fixtures, with the lighting plan determining the quantity and layout for each room; supply diffusers and return grilles must align with the approved lighting plan. The contractor is responsible for disconnecting and reconnecting smoke detectors, speakers, and sensors. Ceiling tile and grid specifications are included in the contract scope. Door repairs, including sanding, prep work, and painting, fall within the contractor's responsibilities and must be performed per scope requirements. Dumpsters for trash removal are permitted at the loading dock. Materials and equipment transportation is not applicable. All contractor workers must obtain a Fort Belvoir pass; escorts are not required during work operations. The government will remove all furniture and equipment from work areas before construction begins. The document does not specify response dates, award dates, pricing terms, or set-asides.
