About this file

This is an amendment to a federal contract solicitation issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Solicitation No. W912HQ26RA008 covers electrical test equipment calibration services for the Prime Power School. Amendment 1 adds the FAR clause 52.217-9 to the solicitation, which establishes the Government's option to extend the contract term beyond the initial period. Under the terms of this option clause, the Government may extend the contract by written notice to the contractor within 30 days, provided the contractor receives preliminary written notice of the Government's intent to extend at least 30 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not obligate the Government to proceed with an extension. The total duration of the contract, including any extensions exercised under this clause, shall not exceed 5 years. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
