Questions Concerning W Kerr Scott Project-2
Appendix 2, Project Facility Inventory
1) It shows that there are a total of 5 dump stations throughout W. Kerr Scott. Is the waste dumped into an existing sewer line/system or do they all go into a holding tank that needs to be pumped out?
A total of four campground dump stations are located in Warrior Creek and Bandits Roost. All of these are pumped into a municipal sewer line. One dump station at Fort Hamby campground is currently working under a 6,000 gallon pump out system. Pumping needs are approximately twice per year. This system is expected to convert to a drain field type system by mid summer.
2) Based upon the provided inventory, there were three dumpsters. Is that correct? Also are there any other dumpsters at the lake (visitor center, contractor site?)
There are three dumpster locations within campgrounds with current operations utilizing 5 rental dumpsters. Current contractor also utilizes one at Maintenance area.
