Code of Business Conduct 2015 KBR Fire Hydrant Flow Test Report
1. The first test was performed on May 24, 2018 during off-peak hours. The test started at 1:30 PM and had the following results:
Water main diameter: ∅250 𝑚𝑚 (9.84 𝑖𝑛𝑐ℎ) Residual hydrant results (hydrant # 2):
Static pressure: 85 psi;
Residual pressure (with one flow hydrant #1 fully open): 70 psi.
Flow hydrant result (hydrant # 1):
Pitot pressure: 28 psi.
Discharge: 𝑄 = 29.84𝑐𝑑2√𝑝 c = 0.90 d = 2.5 p = 28
𝑄 = 29.84 ∗ 0.9 ∗ 2.52√28 = 888.18 𝑔𝑝𝑚
𝑄𝑓 = 𝑄 [ 𝑃𝑠 − 20
𝑃𝑠 − 𝑃𝑟

𝑄𝑓 = 888.178 [ 85 − 20
85 − 70
= 1960.577 𝑔𝑝𝑚 𝑎𝑡 20 𝑝𝑠𝑖
