SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE (SF 30)

The following have been added by full text:

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

1. Change the Bid Opening date from 8 Apr 2022, to read 11 Apr 2022 at 1300.

2. There is no wastewater treatment plant. Connections to municipal sewer are shown on the plans.

3. Will a stone/aggregate base be required beneath each concrete pads? Yes 4" pad with a stone/aggregate base.

4. Bid Bonds are not required.

5. Rainbow bid schedule has been revised. See attached bid schedule

6. POC for Entergy: John Slay, 504-365-3625

7. ProjNet will not be used for this project, submit question to priscilla.g.sweeney@usace.army.mil

8. There doesn't seem to be a spec for embankment. Please clarify if fill is required or if the intent is to provide positive drainage by shaping materials on site. The intent is, to the degree possible, utilize on-site materials. As such, to minimize borrow / waste, elevations given may vary and are generally intended to show the overall site drainage pattern.

9. Will river sand be acceptable to fill areas that fail proof roll? Yes

10. Much of the site is Schriever Clay, which will likely require stabilization. Is stabilization by using a lime additive acceptable? Yes

11. Is geotextile fabric is needed under all aggregate locations. Geotextiles are required under all aggregate locations as shown.

12. Sheet 5 "gravel Typical Sections Detail, please clarify that the total thickness of Other areas is 6" and the total thickness of Streets area is 8". This is correct.

13. What is the required wind speed rating for the chain link fence? Not mentioned in fence spec. As required by local building codes.

14. SECTION 01200 implies that there is only one invoice submitted at the very end of the project versus every two weeks through RMS. What is the intention of the Government on the periodic payments to the WOSB for this project? Every two week through RMS.

15. The plans call for an 8’ privacy fence along the south and southeast perimeter. Spec 02600 para 2.7 only specifies 6’ high fence with privacy slats. No spec for the 20’ swing gate along the south fence. Unit price schedule indicates both 6' and 8' fence is required, but quantities don't match drawings. Provide the 8’ tall fence in area delineated on the drawing. The 20’ swing gage should generally match the 8’ fence where it’s installed.

mailto:priscilla.g.sweeney@usace.army.mil

16. There are multiple references to the UFAS pads (handicap accessible) but how many and their locations are not shown on the drawings. UFAS units are the 55’ wide sites rather than 40’, and are shown with longer MHU’s than non-UFAS sites. UFAS Sites are as follows: 3, 10, 16, 22, 28, 31, 32, 38, 44, 50, 56, 59, 61, 68, 74, 80, 86, and 88 through 99.

19. What size is the secondary cable? Size by contractor in accordance with National Electric Code (NFPA 70) and AHJ to provide functional electrical distribution system

20.
