MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: Solicitation No. W912EP20R0022 Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Contract 1 L-67a Structures (S-631, S-632, and S-633), Spoil Pile Removal and L-67C Gap, Miami-Dade County, Florida Pre-Bid Site Visit

1. A pre-bid site visit was held for subject project on 11 August at 11:00 am to give the prospective contractors a chance to see the site prior to bids.

2. The list of contractors that attended the site visit is attached.

3. The contractors were advised to write down any questions they may have and submit them via Projnet by 12 August 2020, as indicated in the solicitation.

4. The site visit consisted of meeting at Staging Area 2 as shown in Drawing G-06.

At this location, the contractors were welcomed and briefed on the project features, to include the staging areas and site access. Prior to commencement of the site visit, the contractors were informed that the visit would consist of driving on top of the L-67A and L-67C levees to look at the general areas for the features that are to be constructed as part of this project, as well as the L-67 Extension Canal disposal area shown on Drawing G-05.

5. Once the initial brief was complete, we proceeded to head north on the L-67C levee to see the area for the 3,000 ft gap. We stopped at the southern end of the gap and gave the contractors an opportunity to look around the area and assess the access to the work site.

6. From this location, we proceeded to the L-67A Levee to look at the project features on this levee. First, we stopped at the location where the west end of the agricultural ditch, shown on sheet C-16, intersects with the L-67A Levee. The contractors were given an opportunity to look at the ditch, the site conditions, and access to the work site.

7. From this location, we proceeded north on top of the L-67A Levee and stopped at the general locations of Structures S-633, S-632, and S-631. At each location, the contractors were given the opportunity to look around the area to document the site conditions and access to each site. At the stops for S-632 and S-631, the contractors’ attention was directed to the west bank of the L-67A Canal to point out the spoil piles that need to be degraded as part of the project.

8. After stopping at the area for S-631, we proceeded south on the L-67A Levee to exit the area and crossed over Tamiami Trail (SR90) to drive along the L-67

9. This stop concluded the site visit. Prior to adjourning, the contractors were reminded to ensure they read through all the requirements in the contract, to submit any questions they may have in Projnet and reminded of the bid submission date of 27 August 2020.
