Duckabush Restoration Virtual Industry Day Summary Q&As 9 October 2024
1. Wondering whether the slides of the presentations will be available to us.
Answer: Yes, Army Corps of Engineers will post a pdf version of the power point on SAM.gov as well as a link to this recording.
2. I see “CUI” on the slide for this meeting. Is the project information for the entire project will be “CUI” as well?
Answer: In regard to the question about CUI designation, the content of this presentation is intended for this audience and is protected under the Privacy Act. Be aware that any use, reproduction, or distribution of this presentation is prohibited. APEX can provide more information on CUI, if needed.
3. Do we know how many cars travel through H101 doing peak time and non-peak time?
Answer: The average annual daily traffic (AADT) is 2500.
4. Could you post an attendee list w/contact info?
Answer: We will include the attendee list and contact info on the SAM posting as well.
5. Did I miss the timeline for design and construction or is that coming later in the presentation?
Answer: We covered tentative schedule for the contract on slide 6 and stated we are currently in 95% design. We have a bonus slide on schedule we can show at the end too.
6. Is the project fully funded?
Answer: All funding is not secured yet but expected to be received in line with the current schedule.
While it is a large amount of funding, we do not have major concerns on our ability to receive sufficient funding for the contract at this time.
7. Are there details available for the site visit tomorrow?
Answer: More details available on SAM.gov https://sam.gov/opp/0d5a0cbbfb424b03ac0400596e4caf91/view
8. What agency will be administering the contract?
Answer: USACE will be administering the contract. But the US Highway 101 bridge is the largest component of the project and critical for the restoration of the river below it, so we have been coordinating closely with WSDOT not only on design but also on construction management. We plan to utilize a lot of the expertise WSDOT has on transportation projects in Washington, and we will have their support for construction management presence on the ground and utilizing their typical processes to the greatest extent possible.
