About this file

This document is a set of questions and answers from an industry day event for the Duckabush Estuary Restoration project in Washington. The project is being solicited by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and involves the construction of a new 1,613-foot long, 34-foot-wide elevated bridge to replace a section of U.S. Highway 101, as well as ecosystem restoration work to improve tidal and riverine processes and support salmon spawning and other wildlife.

Key details include that the solicitation will be a best value tradeoff with technical, small business, and price criteria, and that funding will be incremental over the course of the project. WSDOT is providing design support and quality assurance, and the USACE will be the contracting agency overseeing construction. The solicitation period is anticipated to be 60 days, and a project labor agreement will be required. The estimated construction price range is between $100-250 million, with an estimated 1,050 calendar day period of performance.
