12 8978622 Spec sect 01 32 01. 0010, page 3 section
3.2.1 specifically states "do not include field overhead positions as individual pay items", in essence not allowing the contractor to have an activity called project management & supervision where all of required costs for 7 required field personnel and their support facilities as noted in the spec section 01 30 00 can be evenly billed on a monthly basis over the duration of the project. The paragraph goes on to instruct the contractor to evenly dispense overhead and profit to each activity over the duration of the project. The 1st sentence of this paragraph requires the activity cost loading to be reasonable and goes on to say "provide additional documentation to demonstrate reasonableness if requested by the contracting officer? The requirement to put all field overhead into other job activities will create a condition where actual field work activities will not be accurate and may appear unreasonable due to this requirement. Please advise if for this project a schedule activity line item for project management & supervision will be allowed
No, for this project, a schedule activity line item for project management & supervision will NOT be allowed.
