(b) The Contractor is responsible for providing hydraulic calculations for this extension of Zone 3; which will determine the flow rate in existing pipes as well as new pipes. (c) This information is not necessary - hydraulic calculations are performed for each remote area independent of the other areas. (d) The requested information is in contract specification 21 13 13.00 10, par 1.2.1.2; however, the Contractor is responsible for conducting their own hydrant flow test.

Page 9 paragraph 2.2.H.1 sates the outdoor electrical is 460 volts 3 phase 60 hertz. The schedule on sheet M-60 1 for HP-1 and HP-1 indicate power requirements of 460 volts 3 phase 60 hertz. Please confirm 460 volts, 3 phase, 60 hertz is the correct power requirements. Response: Dwg Sheet M-601, Heat Pump Schedule, Electrical Data shows the correct electrical characteristics of 460 Volts / 3-Phase / 60 HZ. Specification has been revised in this amendment.

17. Specification section 10 14 01 "Exterior Signs", paragraph 2.1 indicates modular exterior signage system to be located where shown, nothing is shown on the drawings. Please advise. Response: Please see the attached revised drawings.

18. Specification section 10 14 01 "Exterior Signs" indicates to match existing signage graphics in adjacent building, we were denied access to the existing building at the pre-bid meeting.

Please provide a full signage schedule with make, models, details, spacing, etc.

Response: Recommend getting permission and seeing the pertinent signs of the existing adjacent building. See attached photo of existing exterior sign.

(a) What is the elevation of the return from space to the ERV unit? (b) What is the termination fitting for the return (wire mesh screen)? Response: (a) Ductwork is to be spiral type; minimum seal class “C”; minimum static pressure of 2” W.G.; elbows shall be with a centerline of 1.5 times the diameter of the duct. (b) The termination height of the return air duct opening is to be approximately 4’-0” Above Finish Floor with duct secured/mounted to wall. Termination Fitting of Return air duct opening is to be with an appropriate size grille.

22. Could a list of attendees for the 5/7/2015 site visit be released in an Amendment?

Response: List of attendees is included in this amendment #2.

23. Please verify the Louver dimensions. Response: Please refer to M-603 for louver sizes.

25. Does the utility work in the existing building need to be done off hours so that no disturbance of the staff is experienced? Please advise. Response: The work can be performed during normal business hours, as long as the outages are kept to a minimum and coordination with the users is adequate. If preferred off hours work may be authorized subject to approval of the BCE and COR.

26. Drawing A-301 Section 1 shows a new 1-hour rated separation wall from the top of the existing wall to underside of roof decking. Is insulation required in this partition? Is a fire rated access panel desired for future accessibility? Response: Yes, this partition is to have insulation: mineral fiber insulation. No, an access panel is not required in this partition.

27. The electrical specifications require galvanized, rigid conduit throughout. We believe that this requirement should be revised for the concealed conduits. Please advise. Response:

Rigid steel conduit is only required where conduit is subject to severe physical damage. For interior applications, Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) is an acceptable wiring method for this project.

28. All fill removed from site is assumed to be clean fill. If the fill is tested and does not meet the clean fill standards, an equitable adjustment should be provided. Response: The site has been previously disturbed during construction of B2324, the Government has no reason to believe that the soil would be contaminated.
