The due date for this offer is March 14 which is less than a calendar month away. The amendment, as issued, complicates the development of the proposed price since all 6 disposal sites have to be evaluated for cost of shipping/disposal.
We respectfully request a 30 day extension on the due date from March 14 to April 14. Thank you.
On: Feb 17 2022.
Government Response. . The Government has considered and will give the Offerors an additional day to submit their proposals. The submission proposal deadline is being extended to 5PM ET on 15 March 2022 and will officially be done by way of an amendment. On: Mar 07 2022

9608243 Other Proposal Due Date
Comment Classification: Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
Thank you for the virtual site visit. Although helpful, an extension of the due date of at least a few days would benefit the quality of offers based upon the amended solicitation requirements released yesterday. Would the government extend the due date four days to March 18 - giving bidders that business week to finalize?

WE 3 - 6
Comment Classification: Public (Public)
Would the government consider extending the proposal due date? Amendment 0001, Page 9 of 69 states that for WE 3 - 6 of the PWS, ALL decommissioning and demolition waste identified in the PWS is required to be disposed of in the lower 48 contiguous states at one or more of the six (6) disposal facilities listed in the Final Environmental Assessment Decommissioning and Dismantlement of the Deactivated SM-1A. An extension to the proposal due date will provide contractors with a reasonable period of time to thoroughly vet transportation to and disposal at six (6) facilities, rather than the single facility listed in the original RFP. This will ultimately result in greater value to the government.

Government Response. . The Government has considered and will give the Offerors an additional day to submit their proposals. The submission proposal deadline is being extended to 5PM ET on 15 March 2022 and will officially be done by way of an amendment. On: Mar 07 2022

With the virtual and actual site tours occurring March 2nd-4th, there is insufficient time to incorporate information obtained at the tours into technical approaches and the proposal. Will the government extend the due date 2 weeks (March 28th) to accommodate bidders to use the most complete information to provide the government with accurate proposals?

9628147 Other Innovation
Comment Classification: Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
The current RFP specifies in multiple locations that innovation is requested and may receive strengths. It also requests waste T&D cost savings approaches and schedule reduction. What proof of viability do you require to accept an innovative approach?
On: Mar 03 2022.
Government Response. . It is incumbent on the Offeror to provide sufficient information to demonstrate the viability of their approach and benefits to the Government. On: Mar 07 2022
Current Request Status: Request Closed

9628155 Health ORISE Physics
Comment Classification: Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
It was said on the site walk that ORISE will perform verification surveys concurrently with the contractor performing FSS/MARSAME surveys. The PWS describes that the contractor will account for the time of the surveys and USACE will provide approval. How much time should be assumed between completion of the concurrent FSS/verification surveys and USACE approval? Is USACE waiting for an ORISE report before providing approval?
On: Mar 03 2022.
Government Response. . The timing of the USACE approval and the need for an ORISE report is dependent upon the Offeror's technical approach and the type of survey - FSS or MARSAME. Standard independent verification process will be followed. On: Mar 07 2022
Current Request Status: Request Closed
