About this file
This is a Question and Answer document for an AC Ductless PM, Repair & Replacement services solicitation issued by the Regional Contracting Office Hawaii. The document reveals that Choice Sheetmetal is the incumbent contractor with a previous award amount of $4,538,471.25. The contract structure is confirmed as a base year plus four option years, with additional (-8) provisions detailed in the solicitation's evaluation section.
The service requirement covers 183 buildings and 2,277 units across various US Army installations. No site visits are being scheduled due to the scope and geographical distribution of the units, with the government noting this is considered a commercial service. Technical exhibits provide make, model, and location details for all units. The solicitation is being conducted as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, with proposals due by February 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM HST to Travis Tonini.

Text version
1) Hello, May I have the previous incumbent information and award amount?
a. Choice Sheetmetal – Base Contract with Options was awarded for $4,538,471.25
2) Is there a scheduled site visit for the job?
a. No site visit scheduled. I would refer to the T.E. with building locations & make/model etc.
3) Are we correct in understanding this is a Base Year solicitation with a Four-Year Option?
a. Yes, Base + 4 Options + (-8). Reference Solicitation Addendum to Evaluation (52.212-2) on page 82-83 for further instructions on (-8).
4) Can we set up a site visit to see the existing systems?
a. We have not set up a site visit for this solicitation. There are 183 buildings and 2,277 units on the Technical Exhibit located at various US army installations. It wouldn’t be feasible to view all units covered under the technical exhibit. This is generally accepted as a commercial service. Make/Model/Location are listed on the technical exhibit which should provide you with more information.
