About this file
This announcement is a request for information for the rehabilitation of four existing turbine and generator units at the Robert S. Kerr Powerhouse in Oklahoma. The Army Corps of Engineers is seeking feedback from potential contractors on refurbishing the Kaplan-type turbines and rewinding the corresponding generators. The project requires replacement of stator windings rated at 42,000 KVA and rehabilitation of internal turbine components. Replacements of generator stator cores will be included as an option. The goal of the RFI is to provide industry an opportunity to review specifications and drawings, and provide information on existing and emerging technologies that could support the rehabilitation. Responses will be protected from unauthorized disclosure, and no contract will be awarded based on the RFI.
