About this file
This document is a request for information regarding the rehabilitation of four turbine and generator units at the Robert S. Kerr Powerhouse in Oklahoma. The Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Tulsa is seeking feedback from potential contractors on refurbishing the existing Kaplan-type turbines and rewinding the corresponding generators. The rehabilitation work will include replacing internal turbine components, rewinding generators, and upgrading other parts as specified. Generators 1 through 4 will have their stator windings replaced and rated at 42,000 KVA at 0.9 power factor with a 75 degree Celsius temperature rise. Generator stator cores may also be replaced if needed. This request for information does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract, but seeks industry review of specifications and drawings to provide the government with information on existing and emerging technologies that could support the project. Responses will be protected from unauthorized disclosure.
