The walls of the pump house are concrete masonry with a 4-inch brick facing on the exterior. Hollow metal doors and frames with #9 gage expanded metal guards are on the east and west sides of the pump house. Four window louvers with #8 gage expanded metal guards are in the north wall and four are in the south wall. The roof is a reinforced concrete slab and includes three roof hatches which are centered over the pumps. These are designed to allow pump removal. Electricity and telephone are the only utilities available at the Caney Levee. The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to terminate and isolate piping and electrical connections as applicable and secure all open hatches.
