Additional ACM may be present at the site in inaccessible or concealed spaces. These spaces include, but are not limited to, pipe chases, spaces between wall/ceiling/door/floor cavities, interior of mechanical components such as boiler cavities, interior ducts, beneath foundation pads, etc.

Unidentified suspect materials should be treated as assumed ACM in accordance with 40 CFR 763.

Quantity provided in Table 2.1 is estimated by the inspector based on visible ACM. Additional pipe insulation may be hidden within call chases or cavities.

3.0 LEAD PAINT CHIP SAMPLING AND RESULTS

EMSL Analytical, Inc. located in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, conducted analysis on the paint chip samples to determine lead concentrations. The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Laboratory Accreditation Program accredits EMSL for lead paint analysis. The laboratory report detailing the findings is provided in Appendix B.

Mr. Tony Colby performed the sampling of the Residential Property on July 8, 2021. Seven (7) paint chips were collected from the Residential Property that may be impacted by renovation or demolition work.

A material is considered by the US EPA to be lead-based paint (LBP) if analysis indicates more than 0.5% by weight of lead in paint (or 1.0 mg\cm2 or 5,000 ppm). A material is considered lead-containing paint (LCP) if lead is present in any concentration above the laboratory limit of detection

(LOD).

The complete list of the results of the lead survey are presented in Table 3.1 below:

EMSL maintains liability limited to cost of analysis. Interpretation and use of test results are the responsibility of the client. This report relates only to the samples reported above, and may not be reproduced, except in full, without written approval by EMSL. EMSL bears no responsibility for sample collection activities or analytical method limitations. The report reflects the samples as received.

Results are generated from the field sampling data (sampling volumes and areas, locations, etc.) provided by the client on the Chain of Custody. Samples are within quality control criteria and met method specifications unless otherwise noted. The above analyses were performed in general compliance with Appendix E to Subpart E of 40 CFR (previously EPA 600/M4-82-020 “Interim Method”) but augmented with procedures outlined in the 1993 (”final”) version of the method. This report must not be used by the client to claim product certification, approval, or endorsement by NVLAP, NIST or any agency of the federal government. Non-friable organically bound materials present a problem matrix and therefore EMSL recommends gravimetric reduction prior to analysis. Unless requested by the client, building materials manufactured with multiple layers (i.e. linoleum, wallboard, etc.) are reported as a single sample. Estimation of uncertainty is available on request.
