ADDENDUM 0005:

This Addendum 0005 modifies the drawings and project manual dated BID SET December 11, 2008 as noted herein and shall be considered part of the official contract documents for the New Commissary, Fort Bliss Texas, Solicitation No. W9127S-09-R-6002. Wherein provisions of this Addendum differ from the provisions of the original Specifications and Drawings, the provisions of this Addendum shall govern and take precedence.

Bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this addendum where indicated on the bid form. All parties are hereby notified that they are to make any adjustment in their proposals which they deem necessary on account of this Addendum, and it will be considered that the proposal is submitted with full knowledge of all modifications and changes specified herein. This Addendum shall become a component of the proposal documents.

Addendum No. 0005 will consist of 14 Pages with Modifications to Specifications and Documentation as indicated and 1 Attachment.

2.9 ITEM 1B12-B Oven

2.9.1 Purpose of Equipment:

a. To bake one roll-in, single rack of product with a rotating baking process.

2.9.2 Generalized Operating Specifications:

1. 55 inches wide (front view), 51 inches deep (side view), 104 inches high (highest point on oven), 80.5 inches long (top vent), 55 inches wide (top vent). Dimensional sizes, such as length, width and height are critical to this equipment to ensure the new unit will properly fit into the space vacated by the old unit.

2.9.4 Color Requirements:

2.9.7 Special / Specific Equipment Safety Requirements:

a. Must be equipped with a Type II hood with a single point exhaust, hood shall have a minimum 30 inch overhang to ensure proper vapor capture.

b. Oven shall have built-in safety switch for the draft inducer.

c. Required minimum clearances to combustible construction: 0 inches from the sides and the back of the oven; 18 inches from the top of the oven.

2.10 ITEM 1B31-B DISPLAY CASE

2.10.1 General characteristics:

a. Designed as a self-serviced counter style non-refrigerated case with a curved acrylic front doors, for bakery products. Self-contained unit

b. Approximate dimensions: 4 ft , 5 ft, and 6.5 ft lengths x 4 ft height x 3 ft depth.

2.10.2 Operational characteristics:

a. Designed as a self-contained counter style non-refrigerated case, multi-deck, curved acrylic front doors, medium temperature. Merchandises self-serve bakery products.

b. Case profile:

1. Counter style multi-deck case with curved acrylic front doors..

2. Base pedestal inset depth 6 inches from front of the case.

3. Height of case lower front face 20 inches above finished floor, (2 inch variance).

4. Height of curved acrylic front opening doors to be approximately 30 inches, two inch variance. 4 Ft length case to have two doors, five ft length case to have three doors, and 6.5 ft length case to have four doors.

5. Mirrored end panels.

6. Provided with mirrored sliding rear doors.

7. Dimensions 5 ft x 38 inch depth x 48 inch height. Length may vary from

59 – 60 inch, Depth may vary from 37 – 38 inch. Height may vary from 48 – 49 inch.

8. When ordered with associated refrigerated case, both cases will be designed as a matched set in style and dimensions to provide a uniform and level appearance.

c. Shelves: three levels of display with 2 rows of black epoxy coated wire upper adjustable height shelves with product stop edge extending full length of case.

Base display deck to be 28 – 30 inches deep. Upper shelves to be tiered with a 18 and 22 inch depth. Shelves to be black color, removable, and cantilever to allow for flat or sloped display.

d. Lighting: full length rows of T-8 fluorescent lighting at top of unit and individual shelf levels, for three sets of lights total. Lamp shields shall be provided for each light fixture.

e. Provided with black acrylic PVC trim which does not show scratches.

f. Kick plate color to be black.

g. Price tag molding: front edge of shelves and deck shall be equipped with price tag molding to hold standard size price tags and labels.

h. Standard electrical is 120V / 60 HZ / 1 PH (20 amp fuse), with NEMA 5-15P power cord and plug.

i. Color: case is black laminate finish interior and exterior with black trim.

j. Case to be constructed of welded steel frame. Provided with foamed in place polyurethane insulation throughout case. Sheet metal construction interior and exterior.

k. Provided with mirrored ends and mirrored rear sliding doors.

l. Provided with a four point leveling system.

m. Provided with matching color front package shelf, with bag holder and tissue dispenser, approximately 8 inches deep and extending the length of the case.

2.4.1 Purpose of Equipment:

a. To steam cook seafood product for commissary patrons.

2.4.2 Generalized Operating Specifications:

1. 28 inches deep, 20 inches wide, 22 inches high. Dimensional sizes, such as length, width, and height are not critical to this equipment so long as this equipment is a counter-top model.

2.4.3 Construction:

a. Commercial off the shelf (COTS) standard unit, no unique DeCA requirements.

2.4.4 Operating Characteristics that shall be provided:

a. Expected life span of this equipment is required to be 6 years or more with basic maintenance.

b. Compartment door, cavity and steam generator constructed of minimum 14 gauge stainless steel.

c. Operates without an overhead exhaust vent system.

d. Holds up to three 12 inch wide by 20 inch long by 2.5 inch deep cafeteria type steam pans.

e. Coved interior distributes heat evenly and facilitates cleaning.

f. Instant steam stand-by mode allows unit to start cooking instantly.

g. Main power on / off switch with automatic water fill.

h. Automatic remote probe type water level control.

i. Pressureless steamer allows door to be opened without confusing timers.

j. 60 minute timer and switch for manual operation activates audible signal when cooking is completed.

k. Indicator light alerts operator to de-lime the generator.

l. Three each stainless steel cafeteria type steam pans, 12 inches wide by 20 inches long by 2.5 inches deep.

m. 4 inch high stainless steel legs.

2.4.5 Operating Options:

a. A drain pan option is available but the operator must manually empty the drain pan.

2.13 ITEM 3-2D08 PAGING SYSTEM, SILENT

2.13.1 Purpose of Equipment:

a. To allow customers to place special orders and continue to shop until paged to return and pick up the order.

2.13.2 Generalized Operating Specifications:

1. Transmitter unit: Approximately 8 inches long/wide, 6 inches deep, 3 inches high. Dimensional sizes, such as length, width, and height are not critical to this equipment so long as this equipment is a counter top model.

2. Receiver unit: 4 to 5 inches round or square, .75 to 1 inch high. Variation is allowed.

2.13.3 Construction:

a. Commercial off the shelf (COTS) standard unit, no unique DeCA requirements.

2.13.4 Operating Characteristics that shall be provided:

a. Expected life span of this equipment is required to be 6 years or more with basic maintenance.

b. Transmitter unit:

1. Transmitter range no greater than a maximum of 2 miles.

2. Transmitter power not to exceed 2 watts.

3. System expandable to accept up to 30 additional pagers for a total of 45 pagers.

4. Antenna is integrated as part of the transmitter/keypad unit.

5. Large numeric display that is easily readable.

6. Transmitter/keypad unit to be water resistant.

7. Transmitter to operate on UHF bands.

2.13.5 Pager units:

a. Initial minimum of 15 pagers.

b. Approximate dimensions 25” W X 19” D X 36” H.

c. Provided with stainless steel top and a single sink basin approximately 12” L X

10” W X 6” D. No variance to 6 inch basin depth.

d. Provided with minimum capacity 5 gallon fresh water tank, minimum 2 ½ gallon capacity fresh water hot tank, and minimum capacity 5 gallon waste water tank.

e. Provides hot water from 65 to 145 degrees (factory preset at 120 degrees).

f. Provided with electric surge protector.

g. Electrical specifications are 110V / 60 HZ / 1 PH (20 amp circuit). Provided with cord and plug.

h. Provides automatic water pressure, no manual pumps.

i. Provided with soap dispenser and towel rack.

j. Provided with safety-lock casters, four each.
