About this file

This document outlines base access requirements and guidelines for contractors supporting work at Enrique Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras. Contractors must submit a request letter to the Joint Security Forces Liaison at least 14 days in advance specifying company information, purpose of the visit, work areas, hours, dates of access needed, and a list of personnel with names, IDs, titles, and hours including whether an escort is needed. The letter must be signed by the company representative, sponsor, Joint Security Forces, Honduran Intelligence Authority and Base Commander. Personnel and vehicle badges costing approximately $10 each must be obtained from the Honduran Air Force. Areas of access can be general work areas or secure areas like flight lines requiring 30 days advance approval. Documentation requirements vary based on personnel's country of origin but generally include a passport or ID copy and background checks. Vehicle access and documentation standards also apply to tools, construction materials, and special vehicles entering the base. Access is only permitted between 8:00am-4:00pm and all items are subject to inspection when entering or leaving the base.
