Network Operations Warrant Officer (WOBC)
Section 1 – Cloud
TLO: Implement Basic Cloud Service Oversight and Consumption (16 hours)
Learning Outcomes:
• Define and identify the fundamental concepts, principles, and components of cloud computing.
• Understand the various cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models
(Public, Private, and Hybrid).
• Summarize the key security risks and countermeasures in cloud networking.
• Discuss the mechanisms of scalability and their implications in a cloud network.
Section 2 – Data
TLO: Implement Basic Data Driven Network Operations (16 hours)
Learning Outcomes:
• Explain the function and application of networking technologies in data operations.
• Interpret the requirements for effective design, implementation, and management of data-centric networks.
• Discuss the strategies to address challenges encountered in data operations within a network.
• Apply principles of effective data visualization design to transform raw data into a visual representation.

Section 1 - Cloud
TLO: Implement Advanced Cloud Networking Architectures and Interconnectivity
Options (8 hours)
Learning Outcomes:
• Design a comprehensive cloud networking architecture that meets specific mission requirements, incorporating proper service and deployment models.
• Develop a detailed security strategy for a cloud network considering potential threats and industry best practices.
• Propose a scalable cloud network design that considers growth and changes in the user base, mission, or resource utilization.
• Assess the potential impact and feasibility of incorporating emerging trends in real-world cloud networking scenarios.
Section 2 – Data
TLO: Implement Advanced Data Driven Network Operations (8 hours)
Learning Outcomes:
• Develop comprehensive data-centric network designs that incorporate advanced data networking concepts and meet specific operational requirements
• Propose solutions for identified network performance issues, using advanced data networking technologies
• Create strategies for managing and improving data operations within a network, considering network performance data and potential challenges
• Design a comprehensive data visualization that effectively communicates complex networking data insights
Section 3 – Zero Trust
TLO: Implement Advanced Zero Trust Principles (8 hours)
Learning Outcomes:
• Design and develop a comprehensive incident response plan specifically tailored to a
Zero Trust network, including real-time monitoring, and automated incident response workflows
• Analyze advanced data protection techniques in a Zero Trust environment, such as data loss prevention (DLP), data encryption at rest and in transit, and data rights management, to ensure data security and privacy.
• Design and implement secure remote access solutions within a Zero Trust network, considering technologies like virtual private networks (VPNs), secure remote gateways, and zero trust network access (ZTNA) solutions.
• Analyze and evaluate the impact of cloud adoption on a Zero Trust network, considering factors such as cloud security frameworks, secure cloud connectivity, and cloud-native security services.
Section 4 – Programming/Scripting
TLO: Implement Advanced Network Programming Solutions
Learning Outcomes:
• Employ advanced programming interfaces for network communication.
• Create applications using techniques such as multiplexing, forking, multithreading.
• Employ Python, Perl, and JAVA to automate network operations.
• Employ Software Defined Networks to enhance communications.
• Implement application programmable Interfaces to develop hybrid network solutions.
