Implement Cloud Service Oversight and Consumption

Description:

This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the fundamental concepts, principles, and technologies that define the world of cloud computing. Learners will explore the core components of cloud computing, including cloud architecture, service models, deployment models, security, scalability, and emerging trends.

Cloud Foundations: (1 hour) Provide learners with an introduction to cloud computing and the Army Cloud Plan with an understanding of how it provides a comprehensive framework for managing cloud technologies in support of Army operations. Identify the benefits and challenges associated with implementing cloud technologies and the learner’s role in leveraging cloud for mission success.

• Define key terms and concepts in cloud computing

Microsoft Azure Administrator Essentials: (2 hour) The Microsoft Azure Administrator Essentials course is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and skills required to become proficient in administering Azure services and resources. By the end of this course participants will have a solid foundation in Azure administration, enabling them to effectively manage and secure Azure resources.

Module 1: Introduction and Azure Fundamentals Introduction to Azure fundamentals and core concepts

Module 2: Azure Resource Management Azure subscriptions and management groups Creating and managing resource groups

Module 3: Virtual Machines and Storage Management Creating and configuring virtual machines Managing Azure storage accounts and services

Throughout the course, participants will engage in interactive discussions and hands-on demonstrations to reinforce their understanding of Azure administration essentials.

Implement Data Oversight & Consumption (S6)

This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the foundational concepts and practical skills necessary to work with data effectively. This course focuses on building a strong foundation in data fundamentals, enhancing data literacy, and developing data analysis skills to derive meaningful insights from various datasets.

Army Data Operations Foundation (1 hour) Provide Soldiers with and overview of the Army Data Plan and an understanding of how it provides a comprehensive framework for managing data in support of Army operations. Identify the challenges associated with implementing the plan and their role in turning data strategy into action to leverage data for mission success.

• Discuss the importance of data in military operations.

• Describe how Signal professionals use information to support situational understanding

• Understand how to collaborate with other data professionals

Data Fundamentals (2 hours) Introduce data terms and concepts involved in data operations and its importance in managing and maintaining data-driven systems. Discuss the processes and considerations involved in acquiring, generating, and collecting data. This section explores various methods, technologies, and best practices for effectively and ethically capturing data to ensure its quality and integrity. Soldiers will gain insights into the importance of data source evaluation, data capture techniques, and legal and ethical considerations in data collection.

Implement Zero Trust Principles

This course is designed to provide participants with a broad understanding of the Zero Trust security framework. In this course, learners will gain insights into the principles, benefits, and implementation strategies of Zero Trust, enabling them to make informed decisions and drive transformational changes in their organization's cybersecurity approach.

Introduction to Zero Trust Architecture (.5 hour) This module provides an overview of Zero Trust and explores its key principles and concepts. At the end of the Zero Trust introduction module, learners will be able to explain the key principles and concepts of Zero Trust architecture, understand its fundamental shift from perimeter-based security, and articulate the importance of continuous verification and dynamic access controls in mitigating modern cyber threats.

Benefits of Zero Trust (20 minutes) This module is designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the advantages that implementing Zero Trust architecture can bring to organizations.
