PRICE BREAKOUT SCHEDULE
NATIONAL INLAND FLOATING PLANT AND LAND DRILLING SERVICES
NOTE: The quantities listed in the price breakout schedule are approximate and are provided as information only to assist in the preparation of proposals. The quantities are not guaranteed and the actual quantities provided under this contract shall not be justification for modification to the contract for additional payment above the amount negotiated on individual Task Orders.
In reference to FAR Clause 52.217-5, Evaluation of Options, the Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all option periods to the total price for the base period. A target of 2 contracts may be awarded with a shared capacity amount not-to-exceed $20M. It should be noted given the significant contingencies in the estimated quantities, if awarded a contract for this requirement, the offeror's proposed overall total price (base and all option periods) will not be reflective of the contract value for this procurement.
In accordance to FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, the rates to be used during the continued performance of any services will be the rates in effect at the time of the extension and will be evaluated at the time of contract award.

1. CHARACTER AND EXTENT OF SERVICES
This contract is for use by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Dam Safety Modification Mandatory Center of Expertise (MCX), the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD), and other Districts and Divisions within the continental United States granted capacity by the Contracting Officer. The Contractor shall perform all or part of the services described in these specifications, and those added by Task Orders that fall within the scope of this base contract.
This contract is for all types of geotechnical exploratory land drilling and inland floating plant drilling within the contiguous United States. Where special regulations exist, the Contractor shall notify the USACE prior to submitting a proposal in order to allow the USACE to clarify its needs based on the Contractor’s knowledge.
Work required under this Contract will generally fall under these categories:
a. Subsurface exploration, potentially in areas where Hazardous Toxic or Radioactive Waste may be encountered,
b. Subsurface exploration from a floating plant,
c. Inspection of Subsurface Explorations,
d. Instrumentation of exploratory borings,
e. Other tasked exploratory drilling services.
The purpose of the work described in this document is to determine the type, nature, characteristics, extent, and condition of various subsurface materials located in the borings drilled. The USACE anticipates that most of the land drilling will be at depths less than 200 feet and will in no case exceed 400 feet and most of the barge drilling will be performed at depths less than 100 feet, and will in no case exceed 200 feet. If the USACE determines that borings of greater depth are required, it will be ordered in writing and paid for at a negotiated unit price. The government may order floating plant drilling in small streams, rivers, lakes, navigable rivers, etc., requiring a variety of sizes and types of floating plant equipment to accomplish the work. The Contractor shall accomplish all work as specified in the present solicitation material and in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
