1.3 BID SCHEDULE

1.3.1 SINGLE JOB PAYMENT ITEMS

Payment items for the work of this contract for which contract job payments will be made are listed in the Bidding Schedule as shown in the contract documents and as described below. All costs for items of work, which are not specifically mentioned to be included in a particular job or unit price payment item, shall be included in the listed job item most closely associated with the work involved. The job price and payment made for each item listed shall constitute full compensation for furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing any associated

SECTION 01 22 00 Page 2 e4eceag9 Polygon

Contractor quality control, environmental protection, meeting safety requirements, tests and reports, and for performing all work required for which separate payment is not otherwise provided.

1.3.1.1 Payment for Item No. 0001 MOBILIZATION & DEMOBILIZATION FOR

DREDGING

All costs connected with the mobilization and demobilization of all of the Contractor's equipment as defined below will be paid for at the contract job price for this item, exclusive of items 0002 and 0004. Sixty percent of the job price will be paid to the Contractor upon completion of his mobilization at the work site. The remaining forty percent will be paid to the Contractor upon completion of demobilization. In the event the Contracting Officer considers that the amount in this item, sixty percent which represents mobilization and forty percent which represents demobilization, does not bear a reasonable relation to the cost of the work in this contract, the Contracting Officer may require the Contractor to produce cost data to justify this portion of the bid. Failure to justify such price to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer will result in payment of actual mobilization costs, as determined by the Contracting Officer, at the completion of mobilization, and actual demobilization costs, as determined by the Contracting Officer, at the completion of demobilization. The determination of the Contracting Officer is not subject to appeal.

1.3.1.1.1 Mobilization

Mobilization shall include all costs for operations accomplished prior to commencement of actual construction operations. This shall include as a minimum the following:

a. Transfer of dredge and attendant plant, booster pumps, bulldozers and other like equipment and machinery for site work.

b. Any required labor and materials to set up working operations (i.e.

administrative, electricity, telephone, lay down area preparations, etc.) All initial installation of pipe.

c. Construction of access to construction area.

d. Performance of first baseline side scan sonar survey in the channel.

e. All costs for pre-construction submittals and any other associated work that is necessary in advance of the actual project.

1.3.1.1.2 Demobilization

Demobilization shall include general preparation for closeout of project including, but not limited to transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials from the job site, performance of quality assurance (QA) side scan sonar surveys, decommissioning of temporary facilities, etc.

1.3.1.1.3 Unit of Measure

Unit of measure: Job

1.3.2 UNIT PRICE PAYMENT ITEMS

Payment items for the work of this contract on which the contract unit price payments will be made are listed in the BIDDING SCHEDULE and described below. The unit price and payment made for each item listed shall constitute full compensation for furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing any associated Contractor quality

SECTION 01 22 00 Page 3 control, environmental protection, meeting safety requirements, tests and reports, and for performing all work required for each of the unit price items.

1.3.2.1 Payment for Item No. 0002 Dredging & Placement in Upland Placement Site

Payment to be made for all costs associated with dredging shall include the cost of removal, transportation and disposal of dredged material in the placement area, exclusive of items 0001, 0003 and 0004.

The total amount of material removed and to be paid for under these payment items will be measured by the cubic yard in place by computing the volume between the bottom surface shown by soundings of the last surveys made before dredging, and the bottom surface shown by the soundings of surveys made as soon as practicable after the work has been completed.

The volume for measurement and payment shall include the material within the limits of overdepth and side slopes described in paragraph "Required Dredging Prism, Overdepth, and Side Slopes" of SECTION 35 20 23, less any deductions that may be required for misplaced material described in subparagraph "Misplaced Material", below.

The drawings are believed to accurately represent conditions at the time of the surveys indicated. New soundings will be taken immediately before dredging as specified in paragraph "Before Dredging Surveys" of SECTION 35 20 23, DREDGING. The Contractor's unit price for dredging, based on the above method of computation of the quantity for payment, shall include his evaluation of shoaling, other natural changes in the waterway, or changes caused by the Contractor's operations that might occur during the period between the surveys before dredging and the surveys for acceptance of the work. Computations for payment purposes will be made by the Government for the scheduled dredging using, as defined in the USACE Hydrographic Survey Manual EM 1110-2-1003 , the Average End Area (AEA) method, Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) method, or a combination of these methods at the discretion of the Government, utilizing electronic data processing software and machines for the calculations. Determination of final dredged quantities after having once been paid for, will not be reopened, except on evidence of collusion, fraud or obvious error.

1.3.2.1.1 Misplaced Material

Any material that is deposited elsewhere than in places designated or approved by the Contracting Officer will not be paid for, and the Contractor may be required to remove such misplaced material and deposit it where directed by the Contracting Officer at the Contractor's expense.

1.3.2.1.2 Excessive Dredging

Material taken from outside the specific areas to be dredged or beyond the limits as extended in paragraph "Required Dredging Prism, Overdepth, and Side Slopes" will be considered as excessive overdepth dredging, or excessive side slope dredging, for which payment will not be made.

Nothing in these specifications shall be construed to prevent payment for the removal of shoals performed in accordance with the applicable provisions of Paragraphs SHOALING and FINAL EXAMINATION AND ACCEPTANCE of Section 35 20 23.

SECTION 01 22 00 Page 4

1.3.2.1.3 Monthly Partial Payments

Monthly partial payments will be based on Section01 32 01.00 10 PROJECT SCHEDULE, paragraph 3.2.

1.3.2.1.4 Unit of Measure

Unit of measure: cubic yard

1.3.2.2 Payment Item No. 0003 Removal of Debris From Channel

Payment to be made for all costs associated with removal of identified significant debris contacts (see Appendix F of specifications for definition of "significant contact") and shall include the cost of removal, transportation and disposal of debris from the channel, exclusive of items 0001, 0002 and 0004.

The amount of debris removed will be measured for payment by the ton by certified weight scale tickets furnished by a public weigh master provided for each truckload to the nearest 0.1 ton, and the final quantity (sum of all truckloads) will be rounded to the nearest whole ton. A copy of the Weight Scale Certification shall be furnished from the regulatory agency attesting to the scale's accuracy. Scales shall be of sufficient length to permit simultaneous weighing all axle loads and shall be inspected, tested and sealed as directed to assure accuracy with 0.5 percent throughout the range of the scales. See paragraph ARTIFICIAL OBSTRUCTIONS of Section 35 20 23 for more information about the locations and the nature of anticipated debris.

1.3.2.2.1 Unit of Measure

1.3.2.3 Payment Item No. 0004 Refurbishment of Upland Placement Site

Payment to be made for all costs associated with refurbishment of the upland placement site, including mobilization/demobilization, safety enhancements to existing spillbox structures, and shall include the cost of clearing, grubbing, excavation, transportation and placement of fill material on the dikes, exclusive of items 0001 through 0003.

The total amount of material excavated and places and to be paid for under this payment item will be measured by the cubic yard in place by computing the volume difference between the dike surfaces shown by the pre-construction survey made before refurbishment, and the dike surfaces shown by the survey made as soon as practicable after the work has been completed. Both: pre-construction and after-construction surveys shall use the same placement templates to be used for quantity calculations. The Contractor is responsible for all surveys and volume calculations as well as final As-Built drawings.

The drawings are believed to accurately represent conditions at the time of the surveys indicated. Computations for payment purposes will be made by the Government using the Average End Area (AEA) method, Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) method, or a combination of these methods at the discretion of the Government, utilizing electronic data processing software and machines for the calculations.

The Contractor shall submit the following Pre-Construction and
