About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document related to a fitness equipment procurement solicitation. The document addresses vendor inquiries regarding equipment specifications, installation requirements, and facility access details for a fitness facility installation.

Equipment Requirements and Specifications: The procurement requires separate machines including a lying leg curl, leg extension, standing calf machine (plate-loaded with shoulder press capability), linear leg press, vertical squat, squat press, and an iso-lateral bench press with independent working arms. Line Items 3 and 12 are confirmed as the same machine in plate-loaded and stack-loaded versions targeting the same muscle group. Line Items 7, 8, and 14 specifications for starting resistance are confirmed as correct for independently unloaded arms. Line Item 15 requires machines to have at least 295 lbs of stack weights, allowing 285 lbs for machine weight alone. Finish preferences specify all machines in matching colors with platinum or black frames and black upholstery; accents must be small and not alter the overall color scheme. The equipment classification is fitness equipment, not medical equipment.

Installation and Facility Access: Equipment will be installed on ground level with 14 feet wide by 20 feet tall garage doors facilitating equipment movement. No ramps, steps, hallways, or turns are present at the facility. A forklift is available on-site for equipment handling. The installation space will have no other existing machines, allowing for straightforward equipment placement and assembly without complex logistics or space coordination challenges.

Q - Line Item 7, 8 and 14 - The starting resistance seems to be too low. Can you please confirm that these values are correct? We can provide the strength curves if you would like.

A - These are the starting resistance of the arms (independently) unloaded. There is equipment that meet this requirement.

Q - Line Item 15 - Is the max allowable weight for this machine correct?

A - Yes. The machine needs to have atleast 295lbs of stack weights. This gives 285 lbs for the machine weight by itself without the stack weights

Q - Line 17 - Do they have to be 12 sided, would 8 or 12 be satisfactory?

A - 2

Q - Please confirm that Line Items 3 and 12 are the same machine, just plate and stack loaded.

A - Yes, it is a machine targeting the same muscle group just plate and stack loaded

Q - Installation - Can you please provide some pictures of the layout to assist in quoting install? Is this a Ground to enter, are there steps or ramps? Are other machines already in the space? What are the sizes of the doors?

A -These will be installed on a ground level. There are 14ft wide by 20ft tall garage doors to facilitate moving the equipment. No ramps or steps. There will be no other machines in the area

Q - Should this quote be targeted towards more medical or sports equipment? Since this quote seems to be for PT, some machines, albeit higher prices, allow for better access. We would like to know if ease of access into the machines is of paramount importance for the PT environment, or if this is a cost-first quote.

A - Fitness equipment. Not medical equipment.

Q - Items 7 and 8: We carry a popular dual-function machine that combines leg curl and leg extension. If you prefer separate machines, would you like a lying leg curl or a seated leg curl?

A - Separate machines are required. Lying leg curl

Q - Standing calf machine: We currently offer one option that is plate-loaded and also functions as a shoulder press. It includes shoulder pads for calf raises and handles for shoulder press movements. Please confirm if this configuration works for you?

A - Yes it does

Q - Lower body machines: Could you please clarify or share examples of what you’re referring to for a linear leg press, vertical squat, and squat press? We offer multiple variations of hack squat and leg press machines, so this will help narrow down the best options?

A - See attachment

Q - Iso-lateral bench press: Do you prefer a dedicated bench press machine, or an adjustable machine that supports flat bench, incline press, and shoulder press?

A - A seated bench press machine that has independent working arms. This is not a shoulder machine

Q - Finish preferences: Most of our equipment is available in all black. Some models are offered in either silver or black with red accents—please let us know which finish you prefer?

A - All Machines will be same in color. Prefer Platinum or black Frame with black Upholstery. Accents are fine but must be small in nature and change the overall color scheme of platinum or black.

Q - Double door or single door access to get into the facility and into the final room? If there is a single door please send the dimensions of each door (LxWxH). If it is Double door access please let me know if the middle latch can come out of it.

A - These will be installed on a ground level. There are 14ft wide by 20ft tall garage doors to facilitate moving the equipment. No ramps or steps.

Q - Please let us know if there is a loading dock to get pieces in or a high low on site. If not, we can get a lift gate on the truck no problem, we just need to know for future reference.

A - No loading dock, we have a forklift on site

Q - Is this equipment staying on the main level or is it going up or down a level? If it is going up or down a level please let me know if there's a freight elevator we can use. If there is no elevator please let me know the dimensions of the staircase that we would need to use and if there are any turns in the staircase.

A - These will be installed on a ground level. There are 14ft wide by 20ft tall garage doors to facilitate moving the equipment. No ramps or steps.

Q - Please let us know if any potential tight turns in hallways or staircases as those can be an issue while bringing pieces in.

A - No turns or hallways
