About this file

This is a solicitation amendment (SF30) that provides questions and answers related to a contract opportunity for cooking exhaust maintenance services at West Point Military Academy. The amendment includes clarifications about hood cleaning requirements, locations, and scheduling.

Key details from the Q&A include: cleaning frequency remains unchanged from previous contract but there are more hoods than in the prior contract; all equipment must be thoroughly cleaned of grease including accessible ductwork; most locations have access panels but ladders/lifts may be needed; work must be scheduled around kitchen operations; IKECA certification is not required; cleanings will be done quarterly, semi-annually or annually depending on location and typically takes 3-5 days to complete all locations; contractors must dispose of waste in oil-water separators or dumpsters at work locations. The amendment also references four zip files containing hood photos for various buildings including Lee CDC, Youth Activity Center, Michie Stadium, Holleder Center, Fire Stations, and other facilities. A separate PDF spreadsheet lists facility numbers, building names, system types, quantity of hoods, cleaning frequency requirements, hood sizes, and kitchen usage frequency.
