Request for Information #1 – Please define the extent of utility installation that is expected of the vendor to support the hot head and three-piece shirt system installation? For example, the utility scope of work would consist of the following, which have been compiled for reference.
• Disconnect steam, steam condensate, water and compressed air at the existing equipment and demo existing utility piping, associated directly with the existing equipment, to the nearest utility supply header.
W911SD23R0179
• Connect and install new steam, steam condensate, water and compressed air piping from the nearest utility supply header (including new isolation valves for each piece of equipment) to the new equipment. Installation would include connecting all utility piping to new equipment.
• Disconnect electrical from existing equipment and demo electrical wiring and conduit from existing equipment to the nearest disconnect.
• Install new wiring (including new conduit) from nearest disconnect to new equipment.
A1- Above is excellent wording for what needs to be done. Can’t use the word “new” enough.
On Page 4 of the solicitation, Item #0003, in the SF 1449 Continuation Sheet, is described as “IPPC Skid”. IPPC Skid is not referenced in any other area in the solicitation.
Request for Information #2 – Please provide a definition and/or description for the IPPC Skid.
A2- About the skid, we will not be moving or storing equipment so the information is irrelevant.
Request for Information #3 – Due to the potential scope and cost impacts associated with RFI #1, please validate the acceptance of a due date extension of 5-days past the posting of responses to this RFI.
A-3 RFP IS EXTENED AND NEW DUE DATE IS 08/28/23 @ 10:00 AM
