About this file
This document provides the basis of design for a federal design-build contract to repair the exterior of Building 3010 at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. The scope of work includes removing and disposing of existing exterior metal wall panels, windows, louvers, doors and other components. It also involves installing new wall panels, windows, louvers, concrete pads and an asphalt driveway. The contractor must provide designs at 35%, 65% and 100% completion, with the final design stamped by a licensed engineer. The allotted time for design and repair is 365 days. The contractor must submit documentation for invasive species prevention, FAA notifications if work affects airspace, and common access card requirements. Record drawings are due within 14 days of completion. This basis of design establishes the framework for a federal design-build contract to modernize the exterior of Building 3010 at Fort McCoy.
