SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following items are applicable to this modification:

1. The purpose of this modification is to provide responses to the following questions from Industry:

Question 20. For the ST-900, Paragraph C.611 SANITARY AND SEWAGE SYSTEM CLEANING AND REPAIRS, Subparagraph C.612.7 Abrasive Blasting, Subparagraph C.612.7.1 instructs the contractor to "Abrasive blast to near white metal (SSPC SP10) all interior surfaces and structural members of the sanitary and sewage holding tank to include access cover." Subparagraph C.612.8 provides painting instructions for the blasted surfaces.

On the Summary Pricing Sheet, CLIN 611 Sanitary and Sewage System Cleaning and Repair, only has two SubCLINs: 611AA - Cleaning, Repairs and Closure; and 611AB - Power Tool Cleaning and Painting. In which SubCLIN is the contractor to include pricing for Subparagraph C.612.7, Abrasive Blasting or is there supposed to be a third SubCLIN?

Answer: 0611AC, 1611AC, 2611AC, 3611AC, and 4611 AC were intentionally left out of the List of Individual Prices (LIPs). All references to Abrasive Blasting in C.611 have been removed from the Specifications. (Revised Specifications, which also correct item numbering discrepancies, are attached to this Amendment). If and when it is determined that Abrasive Blasting is required, it will be included as a Section 2 item.

Question 21. Please confirm that UHP Hydroblasting is an acceptable method of surface preparation for external surfaces including the following items:
